Although my previous post was about raising a child in the Montessori way, I would not send my child to a Montessori school. I will use their techniques within my home, but there is another school I have always planned to send all of my children (finances permitting) because they encourage individuality, personal growth at the child’s own speed, smaller classes, imagination and spiritual growth; an example would be, if you have a spiritually gifted child, they will help enhance this, rather than put a stop to it. I think that’s great because imagination is extremely important in this family and the school I am talking about is The Steiner Waldorf schools.
At this moment in time, I do not have the finances to send him to this preschool; instead he is going to an ordinary academy. But there has been talk of us coming into a financial situation where Waldorf could become a reality. But that’s just talk for now.
